Brunello 2010 Tasting Notes

Jancis Robinson
"Youthful mid ruby. Sweet bright spicy red fruit with top notes of candied peel. Lovely sweet fruit shot through by tangy acidity. Unpolished and genuine".

Tasting Notes : "Intense aromas of clay, spices and dried fruits follow through to a full, chewy palate with lots of tannins and a bark, cedar aftertaste. Need a couple years to soften."

"Gorgeous wine, with intense fruit that turns to flowers and spices on the nose and palate. Full-bodied and very well-corseted, with a lovely silky tannin structure. Loads going on. First time I have tasted this. Better after 2014." SCORE 94

Tusan wine

Bevilo 2008 Toscana IGT

Two terraced vinyards, planted in 1997 have created our Bevilo wine, composed of 90% San Giovese Grosso, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
Early summer, the careful removal of bunches of grapes reduces the yield per plant and increases the quality of the wine. The spontaneous fermentation with natural yeast, present in the vineyards, and an aproximate two week maceration of the must contributes to the fruity character of the wine.
During fermentation the temperature is limited to 27-28°C. After fermentation the wine is transferred to 400 litre aged french oak barrels where the malolactic fermentation takes place. Careful evaluation of the intrinsic character of the young wine will decide how long the three varieties will stay in the barrels.
After 2 years the wine is blended and bottled. The wine is allowed to mature another four months in the bottle before it is ready to be enjoyed. Though it is ready to be drunk in 2011 it will reward up to eight years in the cellar.
